Rules Cachetão (Big Cacheta) | Imaginary Joker | Going Out Seven

It is one more game of the PIF PAF family, also played with two decks (104 cards), in which 2 to 5 players can participate. This game may be played with or without the joker, the only rule is to agree on that before starting the game.

Nine cards are dealt to each player, one by one, two at a time, three at a time, alternating among the players. One card of the stock is turned face up to establish the wild card, which will always be the card above the one which was turned up, following the same suit. E.g.: if the 9 of Hearts is turned up, the wild card is the 10 of Hearts.

The objective of the game is to form melds of same number cards and/or sequences (see PIF PAF), combining the nine cards or the 10 cards (the nine received at the dealing plus one that was drawn). The wild card can only be used in the consecutive card melds.

All players start the game with seven or ten "lives" (chips, whose only purpose is to show the situation of the player along the game; for bets in cash another kind of chips must be used).

The round is mandatory and if an opponent goes out with nine cards he will lose one life, and if he goes out with 10 cards, he will lose two lives. The last "survivor" wins the game and the betting chips.

The value of the bets must be agreed on before the game starts.

CACHETÃO(Big Cacheta)

Similar to the "Cacheta", with the following differences:

The minimum number of players is 5 and the maximum is 11.
Instead of two wild cards, there are four, since the wild cards are the ones with the same color and whose rank is the next card above the one turned face up. E.g. if the 8 of Clubs is turned up, all black 9s will be wild cards.
Anytime a player, due to the quality of the cards received, does not participate in the game, he will lose a life; if he participates - and an opponent wins the round, he will lose two lives. The last "survivor" wins the game and the betting chips.
Cards are dealt three at a time, alternating players.

Imaginary Jocker

In some places the "Cacheta" is played with an imaginary joker, that is, all players receive eight cards and the ninth one will be the "imaginary joker" or the "joker on your mind", which will always fit into consecutive card melds.

So, for instance, if any of the players has three Queens of different suits, three nine of different suits and the four and the five of Spades, he will win, for the joker will replace the three or six of Spades.

Going Out Seven

Another variant of "Cacheta". The objective is the same, but in this game there is no joker. The betting system is this: a certain fee is agreed upon and it will be played at each hand, without raises or doubles, playing the game no time limits or with a preset time limit.
